Thurso to Holborn Head

It was a quiet morning, no wind but a hint of rain in the air as I walked from home to catch the bus to Thurso. Once in Thurso I followed the coastal path to Scrabster harbour and on to Scrabster lighthouse. Climbing up to the coastal pat that would take me to the most northern part of the Holborn Head promontory. It was good walking weather with clear views across the Pentland Firth to the Island of Hoy. Continuing on I passed the Clett sea stack, Robertson’s Point, Spear Head, Black Craig, Heron Craig, and Falcon Craig to reach the old quarry. From the quarry I followed the old quarry road back to Scrabster and Thurso.
