    A wonderful walking loop today. Weather initially overcast with a strong breeze, later a touch of blue sky but still with the breeze. Perfect day for walking.     A beautiful day for a river walk. From Halkirk to the river’s mouth at Thurso. Easy walking at start and finish, more difficut in the middle, lots of gorse and tufted grass to navigate – total distance 14 kilometres. Also cows with calves, so needed to be alert.
